roof causes game to crash

My game straight up crashes when I try to place the Gabled Roof piece to a room, I have cleared all cache history, reset my pc, but the issue still occurs when I go back into the game and place the Gabled Roof...I decided to try and place a different roof, the Half Hipped Roof piece, I placed it and my game didn't crash...but now it won't let me change the Roof pattern or add trim to it...
