Roommate not coming home and not paying rent?

Hi @FluidPanNerd !  I haven't had this issue with roommates.  Maybe try a right click on the game in Origin and Repair the game?  I also think it would be good to try taking your mods out and deleting the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder, and testing  your game to see if that fixes the problem.

Otherwise, perhaps try inviting the sim to hangout, kicking them out and then asking to be a roommate again.  You might want to do a "save as" so you don't lose any progress if this doesn't work.

@FluidPanNerd I'm glad you figured that out!  It totally makes sense that a bed assignment would prevent getting another roommate.  I do think it's odd that the roommate just moved out on their own.  I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the only time roommates should move out is if your sim kicks them out or you move your household to a new lot.  I'm thinking that was possibly caused by one of your mods and you may see that happen again with future roommates. At any rate, thanks for the update and have fun playing!

@JonaO703That's possible. I ended up kicking out his replacement and converting that room to a kids room anyway. I'll keep an eye out the next time I play with roommates.
