Scientist Career Won’t Work Properly

Hi Tomsde are there any tooltips as to why they are greyed out ?

As for the freezer gun, sounds like it's invisible or something. Does it let you invent another one ?

I discovered they wanted me to upgrade it.  There was an upgrade part in my inventory that I didn't notice before.  I dragged that to the constructer and it upgraded that gun so that it now morphs items, but the problem is that you never know what things are going to turn into.

I solved the glitch problem by sending my Sim to work alone a number of days, and the was able to work through the glitched parts off on his own.  Then when he went back to work he had new work goals that he could actually perform.  🤞

Tomsde  If you don't have the necessary ingredients in the sim's inventory or the necessary career level for some of the serums, you can't make those serums.  The same goes for making devices on the constructor.  You must have the ingredients, crystals and metals to make the serum or item. 

To upgrade the simray, satellite dish, and transporter (I forget the exact name), you drag the item out of the sim's inventory and place it on the constructor.  Click on it there and you will get the upgrade options for all three items.

I'm not able to put the sim ray on the Constructor sometimes.  Another problem I have is that things that are supposed to be completed in the work day won't give me the options.  Today I was supposed to make a snake oil serum and it was grayed out, since I started this thread it actually gave me the ability to make a new serum and I couldn't test it on my pregnant sim (it was an alien abduction case), then I lost the vial so I couldn't test it on a coworker either..  I was supposed to talk about work with a co-worker, but the "talk about work" wouldn't come up in the pie menu.  Sometimes I've had to send my Sim to work alone day or two and that has seemed to get around the issue sometimes.
