Solved

script mods not showing up

hello,

so as the title states my problem is that my script mods are not showing up, i don't have this problem with my cc or custom stuff packs.

up until a week ago everything was going smoothly--i only had MCCC-- but then i downloaded SNB bills and now no script mods show up nor are they accessible in-game.

what I've tried so far;

  • repair the game
  • check for updates of both my laptop and the game
  • uninstalled mods and reinstalled them
  • only run the game with MCCC
  • deleted and reïnstalled the game itself

but nothing worked.

if any of you had a solution that would be great,

cheers!

  • @doggylovervr Can you double-check that you have placed all MCCC files in the same folder and that the folder is no more than one level deep in the Sims 4 mod folder structure? The Sims 4 will only go one-level deep when looking for script mods. So it should look something like this:

    Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods > MCCC

    Also, can you verify that Script Mods Allowed is checked in your Game Options screen? It's located in the Other tab. Maybe it got un-checked somehow during an update process.

    @doggylovervr That's great news :D You'll want to be sure to check for updates for MCCC after the next game patch, it looks like it will be making a fair number of changes to the base game. The mod creator has posted instructions on his website on how to install updated versions of MCCC, but if you have any more questions on that you can still ask them here.
