My sim keeps getting the uncomfortable surroundings moodlet in their kitchen. I've taken out almost everything in the room. I've polished to perfection almost every item One by one. I've deleted items nothing is changing. There's no floating plates no invisible cups anywhere and yet they're still uncomfortable. This has to be a bug or something there's they're still uncomfortable. This has to be a bug or something
Have you had a fire? Sometimes the discoloration from a fire on the floor will be hidden by a counter so you can't see it, or a sim can't clean it. Moving the counters out of the way will let a sim clean the floor then. And if you haven't already looked with walls up, there might be a dirty dish on a shelf where sims can't get to it.

@janaefuller I'd suggest the same things my fellow players have suggested here because I've had both (I build small utility rooms for the pressure cooker to be stored as it upsets most of my Sims or put it outside next to the BBQ).
But just to add if you can't find what it is, try hiring a maid for a one off visit to clean up. Sometimes they will find whatever it is that you can't find... they just found some plates for me that were floating because I had the move objects cheat enabled and hadn't noticed they hadn't gone in the fridge and had gone off!
