Sim gets invited out. . .but the other sim leaves!

Unfortunately this is not a new thing. Two things you could try. Upon arrival at the destination hit pause. Queue up the action to "ask to hang out". This may or may not work. The second thing is never accept invites to go somewhere. My tactic is to always be the one doing the inviting. Or just choose "travel with" option. It is still a good option to "ask to hang out". That way the is a better chance of them actually sticking around instead of popping off to work or wherever.

One moment the other sim was standing there, the next they were fading away into the distance like a ghost. Gone before my sim knew what happened.😕

@Wholesome_Goth Do you think it might depend on their motive levels when they spawn at the place they asked you to meet? It seems like even for some of my club gatherings if they are very hungry, dirty, or tired they'll often just go home rather than try to fill their motives at the lot we are currently meeting at. To be honest, one of the things that annoys me even more is when they ask my Sim out on a date at 8:30 in the morning, or they'll ask her on the day after she stayed up most of the night before trying to finish a project and she is ready for sleep before dinnertime. They always seem to ask at a very bad time xD

@Wholesome_Goth , I've always thought the same thing as @RandomBuzziness mentioned, that either their needs were low or else maybe they had to go to work . 😉  Still, like @EuphorialQueen  stated, it is very rude to do this! 😢  😅

I didn't feel like this issue was a glitch, but because of the frequency of it occurring I was starting to wonder what was behind it. Why are they leaving!? 😂

But with the first sim I am fairly certain I have played the other sim that did the invite long enough to check their needs and take care of everything before switching sims. Everything should have been fine. . .now that I think on it. It might have also to do with personality traits??? 🤔

@Wholesome_Goth In my current save, the teen in my household is best friends forever with Yuki Behr. Yuki has sent her several invites to hangout and when they get to the chosen spot Yuki, with her Loner trait, is tense and looks miserable the entire time but she stays until the end. Maybe their level of friendship/ romantic relationship affects this? Sometimes I think these things are just Sims being Sims-- their logic is just different than ours! xD 

I know for certain that the one sim has the evil trait, that likely played a roll and why I thought it a fitting thing for him to have done to the other sim. 

As for the other occasions with completely different sims, the sim doing the inviting was not of my creation and my sim only just barley knew them. Don't know what traits they had. . .Maybe they were evil to! 👿

@Wholesome_Goth , I think in your case it might be like @RandomBuzziness  suggested, in that their friendship or romance levels might not have been high enough, since you did state that your Sim barely knew the Sims that invited them.

Also, did you check the inviting Sims's work schedule? 🤔 They could simply be leaving because they have to go to work.😉

In previous Sims games (TS1, TS2, and TS3), I used to buy the Prima Strategy Guides for the base game and each expansion, so I could better understand the mechanics of how the game worked.  While the strategy guides were not 100 % correct, since a lot of their information was based on earlier models for the game or pack, a lot of what they had in them turned out to be correct.  On one or more of TS1, TS2, or TS3, I thought I had read that Sims will leave if their needs are too low or they have to go to work, so it would make sense that this might be the case for TS4 as well.  But it isn't a guarantee either.  🤨  (I also could be remembering wrong since those games were a long time ago, especially TS1 and TS2!).  But it is times like this that I wish we still had those strategy guides for the game.😢 A lot of the info was not interesting to the average player (though much of it was), but I found these bits of info about the mechanics of the game to be interesting. 🤓😃

And yes, while I don't know if personality traits have anything to do with this behavior, it is possible, and I wouldn't trust an evil Sim either! 😮 😃 😉
