2 of my sims are dying from laughter all of a sudden and their mood isn't in the range of dying from laughter they are happy. i've bought back my sims to life with the ambrosia. but i don't know why that is happening. how do i fix it?

It happend to some of my Sims quit a few times, so this is nothing strange.However when you use certain mood enhancing modifications these situations can also happen 'out of the blue'.You could try to return to an earlier save by opening a saved game.To do that you should choose the option 'Load Game' and in the menu that opens click on the disk icon at the bottom. Choose a time and the saved game of which you are certain the situation did not happen yet. Then restore that saved game.Another option when such a situation occurs, is to not save the game and just exit without saving.Have fun playing. 😉

However when you use certain mood enhancing modifications these situations can also happen 'out of the blue'.

You could try to return to an earlier save by opening a saved game.
To do that you should choose the option 'Load Game' and in the menu that opens click on the disk icon at the bottom. Choose a time and the saved game of which you are certain the situation did not happen yet. Then restore that saved game.

Another option when such a situation occurs, is to not save the game and just exit without saving.

Yes, this is driving me a little crazy. NOT normal, folks. I've had 2 different Sims have it happen in the same household at 2 different times. Like days apart. How can it be prevented again? Thought I saw somewhere that we could disable Sims from dying, but do they get older if we turn it on? That wouldn't stop them from these sporadic things like dying from fire, drowning, etc. Right? Seems to me the last update made this phenomenon come about, because it hasn't happened for over double-digit thousands of hours in my game. In fact, I've never seen it before. NO warning, just BAM ... dead. Couldn't even stop it.
Why would Sims die from laughter? That just seems odd to me, unless they had a grumpy disposition or something. I did go back to a previously saved game, but this is annoying. I have to replay things, as I lost 2 hours of game time with this nonsense.

In settings, you can disable emotional deaths so sims won't die from this again (or any other extreme emotional state).

@KingRayVeteran I looked into it and it must have been an older settings thing. Others online even mention it but they are all really old posts. I hadn't used it so I didn't realize that it wasn't there anymore. There are mods that will disable them or cheats to remove buffs when they get out of control. I'm sorry ☹️

@Gednaa out of nowhere those Sims stopped wanting to die. Might've had something to do with that house or when I got something for the game. Last stuff pack? I moved them into a mansion to start a family.

@KingRayVeteran Are they in a celebrity home? That causes a plus 3 moodlet to start with and if they're happy for other reasons, if you get over (I think 12 happy) then they will get hysterical and die. I've had to use mods to get round this. The happy is at a ridiculous level if you're a celebrity in a celebrity home!

@Gednaano, not a celebrity home, thank goodness. I can't keep up with Sim celebrities. They always end up losing their status. It's just a really big house near the mountains. Big lot doing nothing up there, I plopped down a mansion and moved them in. I'll keep those goodies in mind, though; just in case.

@KingRayVeteran You can earn the trait, "unstoppable fame" from completing aspirations - if you can be bothered with celebs. It's quite hard work, but there are some fun aspects. Mine are never going to lose their fame, and I just moved them to Sulani so they can enjoy the sea again, Like the old days before GF. Not so many paparazzi in Sulani and fans screaming in your face! :D

My sims are lagging, the assets arent working in galory, Ive turned off my mods. Its still not working. My sims have died from emotional deaths and just lagged out before i found out if it was normal. Hairs arent working. I think its the new emily update... HELP ME
