Can anyone help please? I have the pets add on and I have all the pet furniture, toys etc but I cant seem to actually adopt a pet. I have gone to "home and adopt" on the phone but the option is only to adopt a child. I have also tried on the computer under household but the only option is to adopt a sim. Does anyone have any suggestions what the issue could be?
Are you playing on an off-the-grid lot ? There's a bug with those that you can't adopt pets.

It's a lot challenge. So check your home in build mode to see if it has any lot challanges.

No, you don't have to add it. It would have explained why the option doesn't work but if you don't have it, there's another reason.
