3 days ago I go to play the sims and it says I have missing files I scour the internet to figure out how to fix it nothing worked. The next day after continuous efforts I deleted everything off my computer which didn't have much on it anyway but after spending 12+ trying to find a solution with no luck I was over it. I reinstalled everything and spent the rest of the day getting new cc and making sure that they weren't bad files and all that. When I open the game none of my cc is there I look up how to fix that and fixed it but then I had missing files which ended up being a whole process of it own. I've repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled, EVEN DELETED EVERYTHING OF MY COMPUTER TO GET THE SIMS TO WORK. Just about 20 or so minutes ago I was able to successfully install the sims w the packs and stuff I got with it so I'm excited to open the game only to see that MY FREAKING SIMS AREN'T IN THE GAME NOTHING IS LOADED IN RIGHT I CAN PLAY A HOUSEHOLD BUT THE SIM DOESN'T SHOW UP AND I CAN'T DO ANYTHING I'VE REPAIRED IT ALREADY ATP IM SO DONE WITH SIMS AND ORIGIN BRO I need some damn help cause I've spend 4 days straight trying to fix my game back to the way it was although I did nothing to it. everything is up to date my patience is thin bro. Can someone tell me why none of my households are loading all of my cc and stuff was fine cause I was using it right before.
Hi @Ndiaedwards the main reason, I think would be that throughout trying to 'fix' your game, you may have also 'loaded' your game without mods/cc, that would then 'strip' the cc from the 'current' loading game.. you could try an earlier save of the same game.
If you're missing Saved Games there's a good guide at Carls Sims 4 Guide also, you can go back to an earlier save & if you need to know how, go to Carls Sims 4 Guide for directions on doing that and salvage from an earlier time before moving.
also, here are some other tips re: managing your mods & cc
Apart from culling your folders one by one, or the 50/50 method, to narrow down the broken cc or mod, that is all you can do, (restarting and checking your game each time) you'll simply need to find the broken mod/cc it and remove it
Mods & cc are well known to cause various in-game issues please check for updates to them / where you found them; do this also > after any sims update or adding a game pack,
Simsonic Weebly Mod Tracker has a list for people who use mods/cc; and updates on which ones are broken or now updated
I also use Sims 4 Studio for batch fixes, as it solves a lot of problems in bulk (but not all.) It's also available for Mac. And is updated frequently, with pack relevant bug fixes.
Mods and CC require maintenance to keep them in your game, if the modder has not updated it after a game patch/update it may be broken (you can check via the mod trackerfor reported broken, etc mods). The process of culling & removing it, to find the broken mod is the only option though, you'll find it won't be 'all of them' but a few or even just 'one'..
After every patch or game update, this is a necessary process, to add your mods back to your game, folder by folder and starting it each time to test to see if it's ok to play. (nb: you should keep them separated for ease of checking, btw)

when I go in Cas all of my cc/mods are up there and I can create my sims, but when I go to move into a household the sims don't show up and I can't do anything. That whole bottom row doesn't work like I can't use the phone, check their stats, give them a career, or anything I assume It's because of the update that messed up everyone's game. I also ended up downloading new cc/mods which I double checked were up to date.
@Ndiaedwards Hi, it would be a broken mod, may be a UI Mod.. Note, not a "bug", however, it does only take 1 broken mod/cc to have drastic effects on your game.
For example UI Cheats mod had 2 updates, this patch, more columns for cas is also updated. MCCommand center has had approx 1 hotfix and 2 updates this patch.. These are just examples, as many mods do have more than 1 update per patch.
You'd have to cull or do a 50/50.. to search for the broken mod and delete it.
