Sims 4 city living Glitch

People I don't even know come into my apartment all the time. i have to lock all doors, then remember to unlock them when i do invite people over. this was not a problem until city living. also. i keep having events, like "game night" with a status bar, and a time limit. Like what you get for prestigious events. but there is no way to fill the bar. it usually starts while my sim is at work. and i cant figure out what I'm supposed to do.

    This seems like the thing in city living where friends and neighbors come over to brainstorm, do workout, and such things. In my game there's usually a popup or something that asks if I want to hang out and do this thing the neighbor wants to do, and you can either reject or accept. But I've never had them come over when my sims are absent (unless they have a key).

    But maybe this is a new bug, how long have you had this?

    Do you have any mods in your game? :O
