Sims 4: How do I open my existing household characters?

Question

When I open The Sims 4, it starts with creating a new character. How do I open my existing household, with the characters I already created? I saved the household.

I'm playing free version of The Sims 4 on my PC laptop. I have lots of memory and disk space.

Choose the Continue button instead of the New game button. Or use the Load button.

When I enter The Sims, it starts from the beginning every time. There isn't a Continue button or Load button. When I open the game, I get a screen with a picture of some Sims, and a big green Triangular Enter button.

I am playing using the Origin interface, and I wonder if that has some effect on how the game works.

This happen when you create a household but forget to place them in the world. Just do that.
