Sims 4 interior-design no clients at the home
So I go to the clients home but there is no one there so I can’t ask their preferences and therefore cannot decorate successfully.

I had this same issue with my second gig. The gig was in an apartment, so maybe that was part of the problem? I haven’t had this happen with houses. The best solution I found was:
>ctrl+Shift+C
>testingcheats true
>sims.get_sim_id_by_name [Client sim’s first and last name]
>sims.summon_sim_to_zone [Client Sim's ID number provided by last prompt]
The Sim should spawn as Client
i tried this and it didn’t work. ☹️ last name was spencer so i tried every sim with the last name “spencer” in manage worlds and none of them showed up as my client.

Thanks for the advice. The sims showed up, but then just disappeared again...
In case anyone else is still having trouble with this. I know this is bad, but you can also switch to the family itself (the one you're designing for,) and play them to learn their interests and then pop back to your original sim (the one doing the interior design gig,). Kind of a horrible cheat lol but hey, at least then you can make a build to the correct prompt lol xD They're still working out some of the bugs with interior design, but I still love it as a career in game <3
i just get this issue and this is happen when there was a gig in the appartement building
