Hello! I have played sims 4 since it came out. I have a really good gaming pc, windows 11, and have never had any big problems with my game until now. In cas everything works but when I load into my family that’s when it goes downhill. If I try to place a build on my lot the loading wheel never stops loading it’s stuck loading. If I save it just loads forever it doesn’t save. Every step until I have loaded into my family is working, but nothing after. Please help I can’t play or build I can only create a sim. Every time I try to save it just keeps loading. I have removed all mods. Still loading. I have removed all save files. Still loading. I have repaired my game. Still loading. And like I said my computer is good and I have updated the pc and graphic card. Nothing is working and I don’t know why. Please help.

Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ? Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created. If that is the case, please upload Please either create a .rar file to upload or c/p the content into your post. Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.

I dont know if this is what you wanted (english isnt my first lanuage) but here is the map. Please be very clear if there is anything else i should do. I just wanna play sims and build but i cant

@lilyybranch this is what I needed but they are all from modded games and mod mentioned in the Exceptions.Could you delete all those exception files you currently have, remove all your mods/cc again, delete the localthumbcache file and then test on a backup of your saveIf you get new exceptions with that and still have the issue, please upload those.Thanks.

Hi sorry ive not been home. I still have this problem. Even if i delete all mods it still just loads so i have to force quit sims. I dont know what the problem is i have even deleted all of the saves and made a new one but nothng works. I also deleted all of the files but when they come back after i started and force quit sims its still first march date. Is that because i force quit the game? I did everything you asked me to but like i said theese files that came back after i quit are not todays date i hope it still works.

yes i removed my mods and removed my saves and made a new save and i still have this problem. what do you mean by renamed my user folder? i have to rename it?

It's a clean folder approach to make sure no old data is causing issues

Try the following

Close the game

Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old

Repair the game

Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry

Start a new save game

Check if you still have the error

Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

i tried this. did everything you said and it still just loads i dont get why i renamed the folder and repaired the whole game why is it still not working ☹️ i dont get it the game was fine like 2 months ago

Could you make sure the game uses the folder that you've been renaming and stuff.

@lilyybranch To be clear, the Sims 4 folder you've renamed or removed is the one in Users > your username > OneDrive > Documents? If you're not sure, rename that folder again and see whether you can play.

If that doesn't help, try moving the Documents directory out of OneDrive entirely. Here's how:

Choose either "I don't want OneDrive to sync my files" or "I want to get rid of OneDrive entirely," whichever works for you. With the former, you can still manually sync your files; it just won't happen automatically.
