Sims 4 not working

Hi,

I've been playing The Sims 4 for ages and have noticed this past week that the game has been pretty much unplayable. I am currently trying to do the decades challenege and everytime I try get my sims to do something, they don't do it. I have turn autonomy on and off, it still doesn't work. I even restarted my game and it still continued. My sims refuse to go to the toilet when they're on the verge of having bladder failure. Is there anyway this can be fixed?
