I want to preorder the Sims 4, but I want to know if it will be sold on Steam?
I see preorder issues with Origin and I prefer a digital version of the game, and I would really like to get this game on Steam.
Can you at least confirm if the Sims 4 will be sold on Steam, not necessary the release date for the Steam version, but if it will even come to Steam.
I would like to see an official EA employee answer this ONLY!

Only Sims 4 for PC is confirmed at this point.
There's no info about other platforms whatsoever (this includes Mac). Please do not pre-order if you have a Mac.
Not a very good reply considering STEAM is still a PC platform.
There's no info about Steam either.
No offense to Origin, but I've had so many issues running games on it that I've given up buying digital copies on there (stuttering, blue screen, etc). I like EA games and a long time fan of Sims, so I would LOVE to see it released on Steam in the future. Unfortunatley until that day happens, I won't purchase Sims 4.
Please make it available on Steam too!! I would just basically throw my money at those games then.

I would just like to point out that The Sims 3 was not released on Steam until January 2011, which was about a year and half after The Sims 3 was launched. Steam is a bit of a competitor for Origin, so I would not expect The Sims 4 to be released through Steam for at least a few months, if not another year. EA loses control if they sell through Steam, as I think Steam are able to sell the games on sales without EA's permission.
So in summary, Steam is an emerging popular platform, but so is Origin, which EA want to grow further - I think it may end up on Steam eventually, but there is no guarantee.
