sims 4 romance preference not working

hi, ever since the sims 4 love struck base update, none of my sims teen kids to adults have romance preference, they are always blank unless i go into cas myself and edit them and give them a preference. this also includes all the NPS townie sims, i have to go in and give them a preference once they age into teens. Another issue i have encountered is sims won't move into their own place when unplayed, instead they will just stay in the world and not do anything even with stories progressions on. i do play with mods, i had taken them out when a patch update came out but it still didn't fix sims not having their own romance preference or starting their own story when moved out and unplayed. i've noticed this with any of my teen sims when they are trying to build a relationship with a potential love interest, instead the other sim will say they have no romance with anyone but woohoo with men and woman. but when they age up they will not even have a woohoo preference like it completely removed it. i have created a few new save files to test this and it has been a issue in every one of them. is there possibly a way to add this to the laundry list of fixes for the update to before the life and death expansion pack arrives on Oct 31?
