Sims 4 University Graduation Bug

I have had this happen to 5 sims in total. One completing university, the graduation ceremony appears next day. Once the prompt comes to ask if I want to attend or skip, I click attend. The game then proceeds to glitch out and now my sims university status is stuck saying “no more classes to attend” and all jobs are at entry level. This then proceeds to stay like this for the remainder of the sims life and I can’t even re enroll whilst it’s like this. I play on console and use no mods or cheats. Why is this happening? Please repair it
