Sim's age wont progress

The sim I created shows that his age is progressing but the sim that i had him get married to was a townie and her age isn't progressing. I play on long lifespan and my created sims shows 54 days until ageing up but the townie i had them marry still says 110 days. It's been 3 real life days and its not changing. They should roughly be around the same with a few days difference. I do play with very little mods and none of them have been the issue.
