Sims are only having sons

I've been playing the sims a good bit for the last week or two, and over three households I've had 10 kids. Every single one of them has been a son. Which is about a 1/1024 chance, or approximately 0.001%. After the first nine it was starting to feel really ridiculous, and I wanted one of them to have a daughter, so I had the mom eat a bunch of strawberries and listen to pop music in the hopes it would help. But she just gave birth to son #10.

One of my sims does have a daughter, but the mom of the child isn't part of the active household, so it might be a bit different.

I dunno. It might just be a really weird coincidence, I'm gonna keep having more kids, but if anyone has any ideas as to if there's something that got messed up, or a setting I could've screwed up somewhere, I'd appreciate any advice.

What I have noticed over the years is that I have couples that have all boys, others that have all girls and others that have both regardless of the overall number of kids the couple has.  I also think the game seems to try to maintain an overall gender balance too.  If you pay attention to the overall numbers of guys and girls you have in a save over time, you might notice that when there are more sims of one gender versus the other, the game seems to try to even the numbers and will generate quite a few more of the minority gender when it makes new babies.  So, what you have going on with 10 boys in a row could be a result of having more girls in the game overall.  If you want to keep track of this yourself and are a mod user, MCCC has a report function that will give you the numbers whenever you want to know.

    Hope this helps.
