Sims autonomously divorcing, remarrying and having babies.

Hi, I’m having a problem with households in the sims that are divorcing, remarrying and having babies when I’m playing with another household. I’ve gotten so frustrated that I’ve had to start a new save file (again).

This doesn’t suit my play style as I like to have full control over whether my sims get divorced or have a baby.

Is this a feature of the game or a bug?

@Rachelharris31, one of the best things to do to help with your Mods and CC is to delete the local thumb cache package.file (it will look like localthumbcachepackage.file and it is located in your game folder). This will clean up old junk you don't need as well as any corrupted bits that might remain behind! 🤨🙌

@Rachelharris31 Delete your saves with every update? Whomever told you that is wrong. They sound either bad or were messing with you.

That is completely 100% wrong. There is NO reason to delete your saves unless they're corrupted or won't even load in the first place.

@Rachelharris31, I'm not sure if it matters or not, but I always have understood that you are to delete the file  (in reference to deleting the localthumbcache.package file. 🤔

  • do these changes work for my own households or other households or even both?

This is an MC Command Center feature.  I like it, but my friend was so annoyed by it that she removed the entire MC Population module.  (She plays with aging off, anyway.)
