Sims can't cook. Blue feet icon pops up as if they are blocked by something.

When I try to get my Sims to use the stove, the icon indicating that something is stopping the sim from moving pops up (blue feet with red x). I tried this with different Sims and households, and it still does not work. I tried buying a new stove, getting a new stove, getting more counter space to cook, and increasing the space in front of the stove. Nothing works. Uninstalled CC, and it still did not work. Repaired my game, and it still does not work. 

Help!!!!
