Has anyone else had the problem of their sim dying over and over again from laughing?
My sim has currently died about 6 or 7 times from laughing alone. it's like every little thing that makes them happy ends up killing them. whenever they do get the funny moodlet I have to race to find a mirror to calm them down. it's honestly getting go annoying at this point.
does anyone know of a way I can stop my Sims from dying that way?
@Hugababybear I have had this happen before but not excessively.
I always run 2 saves and one is a backup. So if my Sim suddenly dies, I can immediately get them back and pretend it never happened.
I had one poor Sim who died on her honeymoon from randomly becoming hysterical out of the blue. So I immediately calm them down now. I don't usually have deaths in my game, I have ageing off but add a death here and there for the occasional storyline.
Luckily having a backup avoids anyone being lost permanently.
I have had 5 sims die from laughter since I started playing again in April. Your post caught my attention because Kasey Grove literally just died from it. He moved in with my sim, they had a science baby. He was out gardening while my sim played with the baby inside and suddenly he was dead. No idea what was so funny about the snapdragons he was harvesting.
But yeah, like you I've been rushing to calm them down every time I see "playful" pop up. I just was focused on the sim and baby and not paying attention this time.
My Sim's son saved her by offering death flower, only for her to DIE AGAIN out of laughter 0.5 seconds after being revived...... Like cmon, I know we can disable emotional death but this is ridiculous
Try to get your sim to calm down before they become hysterical. Get them to a mirror. I hope this helps.
0.5 seconds means not enough time to even get them to walk to a mirror. Hope that helps.
