Sims leave business

Can anyone please help me or give me some ideas to try? Sims check in with the kiosk and immediately leave. I have tried repairing the game, moving the open sign indoors, having customer appreciation day, and making all items 50% percent off. Only children will enter any of the businesses. I have tried changing it to teens and adults as target customers. They walk in, check in, and leave while thinking of an airplane or a bed. I am losing patience with Business and Hobbies.
