Sims placing items on a deleted wall

I am playing with a family in one of the cheap houses in Del Sol Valley that has the small half wall divider next to the front door. I deleted this as it always annoys me and now my Sim still keeps placing plates and deliveries on there. They are just floating as if the wall is still there. I play on Mac if this helps and have the majority of packs, kits and stuff packs except for a few.
