My sims won't eat, they keep crashing every time I try to get them to 'grab a serving'. I've removed custom content/mods and restarted, this didn't work. Evicted the household and moved them back in, this didn't work. I've repaired the game, this didn't work. And I've reset the sim, that also didn't work! They all keep dying of starvation help.
Try moving the whole mods folder again to another place, but this time also delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there. Sometimes there can still be traces of the mods / cc in the cache files. If this is only happening with one household, then also try removing all food from their fridge, their inventories and home, and see if the issue remains.
There is also an issue if use the secret spice perk on a dish. If your sims are adding the secret spice to the dishes then this is causing the issue. This thread refers to the issue
