HELP! MY SIMS WONT INTERACT WITH ANYTHING UPSTAIRS!!!

  • @SimplethingsYT This was a fidgety troubleshooting/fix. I had to do all of the following, pretty much in this order and every step was needed. I made a video as it will possibly not work to just read the directions:
    • Delete both staircases
    • Re-draw the walls in 2nd floor hallway room and the entire 2nd-floor 's stairwell/room (see video - it will make sense)
    • Highlight the hallway room on the first floor then go to the 2nd floor and click the yellow rim to re-build the ceiling for it
    • Move the railings inward to where they will surround just the stairs on the 2nd floor (see video)... Delete then re-add the banister/fencing on the 2nd floor. This will delete two of the hallway carpets, so re-add those.
    • Re-add both staircases
    • Re-add the railings to the 1st floor staircase
    • Re-add deleted wall coverings

  • Hi @SimplethingsYT

    sounds like an issue with the house.

    Moving this to game info, hopefully someone here can test your build and figure out what's going on.

    @SimplethingsYT You are very welcome! It makes my day to hear back from you and to have been able to help. Thank you for taking the time and care to get back with us and to post your kind comment. You have made a lovely home, and now your sims will be able to enjoy it as much as yo and I have! 🙂

    @yourPinkness9

    Glad you figured things out without too much trouble! It's always the little things. 🙂

    This thread on the other hand is quite a few years old and I'll be locking it here just to avoid further necroposting.

    Feel free to create a new thread if there's a subject you're wanting to discuss that doesn't have a more recent topic, thanks!
