Skill cheats won’t work

I’m on console and I can’t get any of skill cheats to work. I turn on cheats, I’ve typed it exactly how it’s supposed to be typed and nothing happens. Am I missing something or is anyone else having this issue?

    Did you turn on testingcheats first?

    testingcheats true

    stats.set_skill_level SkillName #

    What skill are you trying to cheat? Did you want to cheat it up or down?

    Yes I did 

    I was trying to up the Cooking, the Piano and singing skills
