Skill cheats won’t work
I’m on console and I can’t get any of skill cheats to work. (I was trying to up the piano, cooking and singing skills but I also tried upping a few others just to see if I could get anything else to work with no luck) I turned on cheats with testingcheats on first then once I got the notice that cheats were activated I put in stats.set_skill_level Major_HomestyleCooking 10 but it didn’t work and like I said at the beginning the others I tried didn’t work either. But when I use other cheats like bb.moveobjects for example that works fine it’s just the skill cheats i’m having issues with so far. So am I typing them wrong or is there something else i’m missing?
More Cheats Broken!
For months the cheat BB.SHOWHIDDNEOBJECTS doesn't work like it did, its as if you have to do BB.SHOWLIVEEDITOBJECTS first or BB.IGNOREGAMEPLAYUNLOCKSENTITLEMENT for it to work, or either or, because it seems to change every time I try and use that cheat, and its been going on for awhile now, I think possibly since all those bug fixes started being done, like they either sneaked something in or they just broke something and aren't fixing it. And they have changed a lot of things in the game, without having it in the patch notes, so I know they do sneak and do things without telling us. Now CASFULLEDITMODE isn't working either, and YES I did use TESTINGCHEATS TRUE before, now it was working before the last patch, so they did something to it, either they disabled it or TESTINGCHEATS TRUE is the one that is broken or both. Nowadays I never know when anything is going to work or not, I will be glad when Paralives comes out on May 25th, so maybe I wont have to deal with this anymore! Oh and those gloves from Horse Ranch that have been glitching since this time last year, is still not showing up, they only show up when Sims are wearing short sleaves or no top, otherwise its like they are see through, so with all the so called fixes being done, do you think you could fix that and the cheats back to the way they were? Like before you abandon the game entirely!
LTR_Romance_Main doesn't work
The "ModifyRelationship" (for romance) cheat seems like it doesn't work for me. I've been trying to type "ModifyRelationship [Sim1FirstName] [Sim1LastName] [Sim2FirstName] [Sim2LastName] LTR_Romance_Main" over and over but the romance bar does not raise up. I tried switching the order of the names but that does not help. And yes, I've typed "testingcheats on" before but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Game Cheats Not working properly
So what has happened with the mods after such a small update as todays? Last night & up until I went to bed after midnight my mods were working just fine. Now I cannot play a game that has mods on them. The clean save game plays but many of the games cheats are not working, half working or things along that like. The ones to cheat & promote a Career are not working at all. The ones to cheats stats some will some won't & some after attempting 3 plus times will work but then they go away later like you never did them. As I said this is with a clean game no mods ever. I keep it so when patches are done I can play & not use my modded games until mods are clear & I have updated them. To also confirm my games with mods are running with mods that were current as of yesterday. So it has to be something with the update causing it. There is no pictures or anything to show or attach. It is the game cheats being used & there is no error when it does not work just simply does not work.
Missing townie taking up a "want"
My sim wants to complete an action with a townie named Seth. I cannot find Seth anywhere. He is not in my relationship tab, not available to call or invite over. He's not in the Manage Households menu, even the "not in world" ones. I cannot summon him with cheats since I do not know his last name. I have even googled townies and have not found him, so he must be a randomly generated one. I play on the Xbox. How can I find or locate Seth? He also just recently turned into a ghost in my want bubble, so I wonder if he was "culled" by the game? If so, how can I remove the want?
Can't enter household
I just updated my game today, 3/31, and when I go to start playing, it sends me to manage worlds to select a world to play in. When I click the world and household I want, it glitches out and sends me back to the main manage worlds screen. Then I tried to create a new household to avoid this problem, but then when i was done creating a new sim, it took forever to load and did not load through. I had to force quit the game. Death & person refuses to leave
My neighbors would not leave front door. I was trying to go to sleep, but the bedroom door was locked and then a neighbor refused to leave, there was no option to ask him to leave. I tried to unlock door but was unsuccessful. Then I tried to kill neighbor by rabbit, and it killed my person! I never get a chance to just play! Unable to make my person come back to life.
Mods not loading/ Saving/Crashing
When I am playing the Sims 4 game my game tends to crash out of nowhere. There is also a lot of freezing when I am trying to save my game or build a house. When I think that I have saved my game it seems to reset what I tried to save like it didn't save it at all. Also if I have the mods to a house in my folder the game would automatically replace it with something crazy and claim that I don't have a certain pack. The season pack is not loading into my game at all. I checked and even updated my mods and redownloaded everything and I'm still having issues. I play on my Laptop MacBook Pro.
I can't play anymore after I turned the mods off
After the latest update (March 17, 2026), my game would not let me play at all. Every time I tried, I got an "error: failed to launch" message from the EA App. I clicked manage and repair so many times, but nothing worked, or if it did, it was only for a handful of minutes, not hours. When I finally did get into the game, the whole interface was shrunk. It's way too small for me to read pop-ups or menus, etc. I don't know how that happened. Also, I keep getting a pop-up saying one or more packs have been uninstalled, but I didn't uninstall anything. And, it has also slowed the speed of the game down significantly with lag. I switched mods off and tried to reload back into the game, thinking maybe that was the problem, but now I can't even play at all. The play button is grayed out for me, and I can't click repair or uninstall, only manage add-ons and view properties.
