Mods not loading/ Saving/Crashing
When I am playing the Sims 4 game my game tends to crash out of nowhere. There is also a lot of freezing when I am trying to save my game or build a house. When I think that I have saved my game it seems to reset what I tried to save like it didn't save it at all. Also if I have the mods to a house in my folder the game would automatically replace it with something crazy and claim that I don't have a certain pack. The season pack is not loading into my game at all. I checked and even updated my mods and redownloaded everything and I'm still having issues. I play on my Laptop MacBook Pro.
I can't play anymore after I turned the mods off
After the latest update (March 17, 2026), my game would not let me play at all. Every time I tried, I got an "error: failed to launch" message from the EA App. I clicked manage and repair so many times, but nothing worked, or if it did, it was only for a handful of minutes, not hours. When I finally did get into the game, the whole interface was shrunk. It's way too small for me to read pop-ups or menus, etc. I don't know how that happened. Also, I keep getting a pop-up saying one or more packs have been uninstalled, but I didn't uninstall anything. And, it has also slowed the speed of the game down significantly with lag. I switched mods off and tried to reload back into the game, thinking maybe that was the problem, but now I can't even play at all. The play button is grayed out for me, and I can't click repair or uninstall, only manage add-ons and view properties.
How do I modify a relationship when they have a Long Name?
How do you modify a relationship In the new Royalty & Legacy Pack, hen they have very long names ... Like ....Grand Duchess Cordelia Thebe V, usually its .... modifyrelationship lee grand marie grand 100 LTR_Romance_main This is the usual way to do it but when they have a very long name how it is done Please . Game Cheats Aren't Working Since Update!
After the latest update, the cheat BB.ShowHiddenObjects doesn't work anymore. With BB.ShowLiveEditObjects and then doing debug in the search, then all that would have been revealed by BB.ShowHiddenObjects then comes up. But it used to be that you had to punch in BB.ShowHiddenObjects to get BB.ShowLiveEditObjects to work, now it's like its the other way around or something. But I shouldn't have to use debug for the BB.ShowHiddenObjects cheat to work. I am really getting tired of The Sims 4 team putting in big changes like this, without bothering to include it in the list of changes, if that is what this is and not just a new bug! I mean I just bought the new pack with the bundle, and have been having trouble with the EA app for more then a week now, where today it wasn't even showing my The Sims 4 or my The Sim 3 games in my library. I had to restart the app to get it to show them, when I had already had to restart it to begin with. EA/Maxis and the whole The Sims 4 is utter mess! Oh and I also removed my mods to see if it had anything to do with them, but nope, still can't use the cheat. But then mods wouldn't have anything to do with the app not working.
Cannot place any walls and cannot exit.
I deleted my mods and still, I cannot place or add any wall.s I can only delete ii and tried to add but nothing is working. I cannot even palce any roofs but only add and it is getting frustrating and idk how to even fix it or know what is wrong with my saved file, Even when trying to exit, it is stuck on a white screen i cant do much but to force my laptop to restart as welll. I even tried adding cheats or no cheats in hopes to add or mmove walls but it would not. I can only add enterior furniture but I cannot add a single wall or roof.
Is this a bug or intended with family tree?
When the update to the family tree came out I had an existing household comprising of 2 parents and 3 children. I wanted to take advantage of the new family tree update by adding the parents of the 2 existing parents in the household. When I went to select the relationship to the sim however once I locked in the mother it immediately made the father a step father and didn't allow me to select father. I did have cas.fulleditmode enabled at the time and cc was disabled due to mods being broken. Is this a bug with the family tree or is this intended?
