Lately the last few times I have tried to make a social event, no matter what I have selected it still makes it a spooky party. I tried throwing a birthday party with goals and a meet and greet with goals but when I clicked ok to start them, they were both a spooky party with no goals.
Does anyone know what would be causing that.

Might want to try repairing the game; trying to throw parties with a goal should always use the goal set you're selecting; if it's defaulting to something else, it could be a few things:
- Damaged game files
- The Stuff Pack needed for the party isn't installed or recognized. (Repairing would also fix this if you have it)
Give it a try as well on different lots, or with different Sims. If you're still having the issue after a repair, let us know.

I am having a different issue. I am hoping maybe either of you know what to do? Lots I created for social events aren't popping up when I have to choose the venue. I learned generic lots can't be used for events. However, the lots I created didn't start out as generic lots. I changed them to generic when I tested out other lot types and they didn't work. When I switched them all to generic, I for some reason got an error once I exited the lot, like I am missing requirements or something for the venue. Generic lots don't have requirements though, but they also are ALL available as venues if they have an error on them while being set to generic. Once I change them from generic, they will stop becoming available for social events, even if I switch them back to generic. The error message doesn't come back the last time I checked. It seems the error is what is making these lots available. I am tired of seeing all the incomplete signs around my map, and I wan't to change them to something else from generic anyway. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what I should do? Is there a list of venue requirements that a venue has to meet to be used for a social event? I am so confused by my game right now. :'(
