[SS] Sims never finish pumpkin carving after Request Pumpkin Carving request

The Spooky Stuff pack comes with Spooky Party option. One of the goals is carve 2 pumpkins. Every single time I  “Request pumpkin carving” from non-household sims, they quit halfway through. No way for any other sims to resume it, so your sim must carve 2 pumpkins for the task to be complete. Annoying because it takes so long. 

They need to do something so this action doesn’t quit so easily. 

note, I never try to call guests to do anything during pumpkin carving so that has nothing to do with it.

no cc or mods. Mac. All packs except bust the dust. This has always been an issue every time. Game always up to date.
