Stop Other Households From Adopting Strays

While playing Sims 4, I tried adopting a couple strays. When I interacted with them for a bit, I tried adopting them but they were no longer strays. I searched for help, and realized other households...

    @PetSimmers Do you use MCCC ? If so, check the options to turn off adoption strays there.

Nevermind, I just had to restart my game after disabling stray adoption in MCCC.

For a mod-free solution you could also enable testingcheats  and then (Shift + Click) on the pet and select Add to Family.
