Stuck on the Fabulously Filthy Aspiration

I'm playing "the Sims 4" on the Sony PlayStation 5, and I've been trying to complete the Fabulously Filthy aspiration from the Bust the Dust Kit, but I'm stuck on the task that requires one to "Cook 3 Meals on a Dirty or Filthy Floor Level."

The strange thing is that it worked the first time I tried cooking a meal while the current residence was either dirty or filthy, thus it says that I've done it now 1/3 times. But every time after that that I've tried it again it doesn't work and I don't know why or what's different.

Reading up on past posts here and on Reddit about the issue I've seen it said that the Slob trait can interfere with some of this aspiration's requirements but the Sim in question doesn't have that trait. I've also read that traits that prevent a Sim from becoming Tense such as Carefree and Laid-Back can also cause problems. My Sim does have those traits, so I tried removing them, but it still didn't work.

Are there any other known traits or factors that will interfere with this step of the aspiration?

  • I don't use any mods or CC for my game.

The workaround or solution that worked for me to complete the Cook 3 Meals on a Dirty or Filthy Floor Level are the following:

    1. Make sure your sim doesn't have the "slob" trait before doing this aspiration.
    2. I waited until the floor was "Filthy" and then I cooked meals that have spoiled ingredients.
    3. I used the stand mixer to make "prepped seafood" 3 times, then waited until they spoiled in my sim's inventory.
    4.  I used all three to make three different types of food using "prepped seafood" by clicking the "cook" option on the fridge.
    5. My sim then placed the food on the kitchen counters or the table and even if they were marked "excellent," they were still made out of spoiled ingredients so I guess that's what makes it gross and it completed challenge for me.

Try it out! I hope it works.
