Stuffpack Refresh and their importance

Hello.

I would like to talk about the importance of updates for past stuff packs like Luxury Party Stuff or Spooky Stuff. The Sims Team released the survey about updates of a packs while ago, and they did not include stuffpacks in this survey. Honestly, it should be reconsidered and they should get the same treatment. Lot of them need update because they just don't contain much like some new stuffpacks (Nifty knitting, Paranormal)

Not only that some past stuffpacks don't have much, some of them are already useless in terms of the gameplay features (and some of us bought these stuffpacks for these gameplay features) - the most notable stuffpack is the Perfect Patio, that was offering hot tub - well the hot tub was released for free, therefore the pack doesn't give us any new major gameplay feature.

Similar fate happened today to Luxury Party - buffet table with fountain will be included in the new upcoming gamepack, therefore I don't find the major gameplay feature of Luxury party the major feature when I can have it through another pack - and yes, while compared to hot tub it is not that much of an issue, because we still have to pay for the table, but the inclusion of the table is taking away gameplay from already empty stuffpack (might as well make the stuffpack free). In this case, I don't understand why The Sims Team didn't include different type of buffet table (the original one from past games) and punchbowl instead of the fountain - would make so much more sense (and therefore I hope these will be included in potential luxury party update)

Dear The Sims Team, please, consider updating old stuffpacks. They really need it. They don't offer much and some of them lost their purpose.

  • @PatrickClSim3Low Hello!  I do agree that stuff packs (and others) could use a refresh, like we got with Spa Day.  However, I disagree that the Perfect Patio hot tubs are useless.  That birthday hot tub, that was released for base game, does not fit into most of my builds.  If I want to use it, I have to make sure there is outdoor space to use it, otherwise it can look really awkward.  Plus the available color swatches aren't exactly the best for any décor.  I use the PP hot tubs much more often.  Anyway, I do hope that other packs get a refresh at some point, so thanks for sharing!

I would just like to give a shoutout to missing Stuff Packs. Paranormal Stuff was awesome. <3 Kits just aren't the same because (except for your one gameplay kit) there's no gameplay.

And yes, I'm all for pack refreshes. I still don't own Luxury Party and am snoozing on it to see if I need it for the Wedding pack and am assuming that no, I won't.

@xochiquetzl_xkvn , Paranormal was more like a Game Pack than a Stuff Pack! 🤨 It really spoiled us! 😅

The funny thing is  that I think Kits would have been better early in the game when we didn't have much ! The base game back in 2014 and 2015 had hardly any furniture or clothing back then, and much of the furniture was a style I hated!  Having the Moroccan Oasis Kit and the French Country Kitchen Kit , etc, back then would have been much more helpful for us players, and probably would have sold extremely well. Same goes for the clothing Kits!

Luxury Part is in desperate need of a refresh since it is the smallest SP, if Im not mistaken!  However, there are some dresses that I use all the time from that pack, as well as some makeup that I use often. Ironically, I hate to throw parties in TS4, so I got the LP stuff because of the CAS items! 😂🤪
