Suddenly the Hot Tamale in Town... and it's a problem.

First off, I haven't downloaded any new traits. I have used all the traits before and none of them have had this affect. 

I stopped playing one game save and went into another. I have a Sim who is a heartbreaker in town, but this has never happened before. Not only do all the women suddenly have a high romance bar for him, but all the men do, too. Anyone remember hitting shift-click on the mailbox in Sims 2 and selecting "Make Friends" and suddenly everyone in town is your Sim's friend? Well, that's what's happening to my dude, except everyone wants to love him, and not just that... everyone - I mean, everyone - even Sims my Sim doesn't know - are coming to through his door uninvited and asking him to marry them. Wth?? I have NO idea what triggered this. Worse, no one will leave my Sim alone. There are Sims coming to his house when I accidentally forget to lock the doors. It's insane. I've been having to modify relationships and even that doesn't work because they just go right back to full romance bar. 

The pic included is my guy on the far right trying to break up with a guy he doesn't know while all these other Sims slipped in during the course of the break up and making themselves at home! He knows no one here but they all want to marry him. 

Could this be the actual game issue and HOW do I reverse this or at least fix it??

And while we're on the subject, how come my romantic interactions not greyed out with certain Sims. Even when I select options in the Sexual Orientation part of CAS, every Sim wants to flirt with everyone, no matter what their orientation is. It's kinda annoying. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?
