- @ninnaelena Totally agree with this!

Of those that I know that uses makeup none would use the same makeup all the time. For instance practically none of them use makeup when they sleep or do sports/swimming. For everyday use only light makeup and more makeup at parties. So if it in RL doesn't make any sense to always use the same makeup why would it in the Sims?

I would say it is a comfort feature. My sims never have the same make-up in each category (+ in all 5 other outfits), but it would be nice if it optional. Specially for folks which only create sims and upload their sims to gallery.
If a townie spawns with makeup they got all their makeup in ever outfit, specially with MAC makeup is this awful, after the 3-piercing look. Why should the player not have this special power?
- @jpkarlsen If we follow your reasoning in RL there are not even mermaids and vampires. The Sims is still a game where not everyone wants to recreate real life, and yes I would find it very convenient not to have to apply eyeliner every time on my fictional character.

What does mermaids and vampires have to do with makeup apart from that they also use it.?
Applying the same eyeliner is very easy just choose the one you want then cycle through the different situations and apply the same. Very fast. On the plus side you can then easily skip the outfits where it doesn't make sense like swimwear.

It is fine that you don't want to be bothered to pick different makeup but you can already do this by using what is applied by default in CAS.
Why would you want a power that made your sim look awful?
Having the power to ramdomize makeup makes less sense than an option to use the same makeup in all situations.

Because I totally understand lazy people. I am all in for lazy feature, even if it makes some sims looking awful, as long it is optional, I am all in,
Why would you want a power that made your sim look awful? For myself? No, no i don’t need it and I am so lazy that I most of the time forget the make up on my sims + I think vanilla sims looking wonderful without make-up. I read this request often on reddit, so it would be nice for people which really want this comfort feature.
- @jpkarlsen I'm sorry but it was you who implicitly brought up real life. If in reality I may not want to have eyeliner while in my pajamas, in The Sims I may want it, what does RL have to do with it?
There are 8 types of clothing for each character, and I repeat that it would be convenient not to have to choose makeup every time, a bit like nail polish, same thing. - jpkarlsen4 years agoHero (Retired)
No need to be sorry about that. You are welcome to use eyeliner in a swimsuit or PJ's if you like to. You don't need to choose makeup if you don't want to you can just accept whatever you were given in CAS. Usually it is not too hideous.

I'm lazy like that myself. Most often I just accept what I get in CAS. I may use the randomize button once or twice and replace something I don't like.
I'm not against having such a button as such. Just questioning its usefulness.
