Switching Household from live mode not available

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to switch household from live mode instead of manage world, as per described new feature.
What happens when the bug occurs? No option appears in my game when I click on the lot next door. Say I am living in house I play there, and click the next lot to switch to their household because I know there are sims living there and want to play with them instead. No option, except the old one, as Visit the blablabla family... or Move household from Gallery. That's it, nothing else.
What do you expect to see? The switch household available when I click on the lot next to me.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I expect to see the option when off lot. I notice it only appears if I visit the lot first, then the option on the front door is there, which defy the purpose of this ''improvement'' since you still have to go through two loading screens, I guess I'll use manage world instead, kind of pointless update imo... if it was by design like this. The only situation where it worked well for instance was in City Living appartment where you can click directly on the door, and go through only one loading screen, although when I was trying this new feature in San Myshuno, it loaded me with the household members outside of their appartment, and still had to load the appartment. I also notice they were not in any lot around, I checked they were in the void! Basically no lot loaded.
