Taming of the Shoe No Longer Working in Appartments?!

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? The Newest One, that was released as of November 21st, 2020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to San Myshuno, and place the Taming of the Shoe item in your apartment.
What happens when the bug occurs? No matter what option I select, my sim does not put on slippers or remove her shoes. Before the update happened, she did exactly that, granted even the mail man outside of my apartment would do that when arrived on my floor, but the point is that now my sim won't even respond in her apartment to that item.
What do you expect to see? I expect a fix to where my sim will take off her shoes or wear house slippers if I so choose to have that option enabled.

Before the update, the item worked fine, albeit even the mail man would remove his shoes when he entered my floor, but now my sims will not take off their shoes inside of their apartments.
- @Thornwood-Hollow I feel like such an idiot, I am able to click on my sim, and select "follow house rules" and it worked. I never had that option before this patch, I feel like a dunce now.
