taxes

In one save i started yesterday, my sim was living alone in a small-ish house and had about $3000 left and bills were around $300 which is fine, but then she got married and her and her hubby bought a much larger house (freerealestae) and neither of them have jobs they have about $16000 left but their taxes are $6000????? Is this new? Why are the taxes SO HIGH?

  • @AudreySugg When you bought a house with the freerealestate cheat. It will probably a much more expensive house/lot your household could afford in the beginning. I.e try to get your Sims into a job and earn some money. There are lots of ways to earn Simoleons.
The bigger the lot and expensive the house the more tax you will have to pay.
    Have fun playing. 😉

The problem with the Property taxes on any property in the Sims 4 is as follows.. they are not only taxing the real estate property you buy.. but all your paid for furnishings, and all the money you might store as well in their Vaults on the property.. I have had taxes over 150k because my sim had earned a lot of money.. and was now at the Pinnacle which had a decent size building on the lot.. but the furnishings and the money in the vault.. was being taxed as well.. and that should NOT HAPPEN EVER IN EA as it does not in real life either..    How it should work.. there should be a listed value of the property with NOTHING ON IT..  and then any building you do on it.. that should be added.. but as an empty building, no furnishings.. so if I bought the Pinniacle and placed a mansion on it from the gallery.. and hit no furnishings.. that is all that should ever be taxed.. the lot plus the building with NO FURNISHINGS..  Furnishings should NOT be taxed at all, nor should money I earned and placed in the Vault be taxed either..   EA needs to fix this error pronto..

My property tax was over 6 million simoleons... That Ridiculous! Yes I have a big house and a big farm in Hanford-on-Bagley. I am a farmer and sell my wares at the Finchwick fair. I only had 600k in my sims account. I have been playing my farm every since Cottage Living first came out. This has just happened the last two times I've had to pay bills. I've been playing sims since sims 1, so that shows you how long I've been playing sims. I have MCCC and I've lowered my bills to -80. That lowered the utilities like electricity and water to $200 - $300 simoleons, however the property tax still remains over 6 million... Is there anyway to turn of property tax?
