Tense animals during thunderstorms

I haven't been playing Sims 4 cats&dogs for very long. But, I noticed that all my animals get tense during thunderstorms. Is there a way that I can get them not to be? I've tried everything along the lines of giving them attention and playing with them to try to distract them, but they keep getting tense. I got it to where my Sims arent tense during storms, but I can't figure out how to make my animals comfortable during the summer time when it storms out. And help or info is greatly appreciated!

    @SaOhms You can go to the Main Menu in your game > enter the game save with your pets > Game Options > Seasons > Rain Options - and then select "Rain" instead of Rain and Thunderstorms. Save. 🚫⚡Now when you play this game save the lightening will not appear 🌧️, except it may appear on Mystery Weather days. You can tell if one of these is coming on the calendar. It will have a question mark on it. 

    Aside from that also make a fuss over your pet, lots of comfort and hugs, couch time, bath, etc. should help. 🐱🐶

    I hate that you can't comfort them anymore. I wish they'd being this option back. Breaks my heart seeing my sims pets so upset.
