The game get stuck in: building lot from map view-screen

I accidently went to map view when I was in build mode on a lot, without a houshold. Then I try to place a lot from the gallery and then I get stuck, as it takes very long time for the building of the lot. Now I don't want to wait anymore. But I have not saved my game and I have been playing for several hours on a residental rental lota and I don't want to loose my build. Is there a way to stop the building of the lot from the gallery and just save and the end the game? I still have my game on in the background when I'm writing this. So please help quick!

    @LirraFlirra Having run into this the other day and let the game just keep going till it built the lot, I ended up regretting it as loading that same lot is now also a problem. The Gallery lot I have the issue with is a jam-packed pre-For Rent lot, and I suspect there's something about the lot that is currently causing problems -- maybe just too much MOO involving debug items, or something else similar to issues that seem to be responsible for causing endless lot loading now. I recommend using Task Manager to exit the game and just giving up on that particular build.
