Hi,
The thread @jpkarlsen mentions is this one: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CD-Kitten-Puppies-not-added-to-household-after-birth/m-p/6408693#M49834
You can find other players reporting it there and also The Sims team asking for saves in which the issue happens, in case you are willing to share your save game with them: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CD-Kitten-Puppies-not-added-to-household-after-birth/m-p/6424501/highlight/true#M51580
Cheers,

@jpkarlsen,& @EA_Mai , thanks for the link and also the fact that the problem is primarily with pets that were strays! 🤨 I haven't managed an animal pregnancy yet in my game, and have only heard feedback from others, but hadn't heard that anyone connected it to the pets having formerly been strays. 😉

See, that sounds like a reasonable answer. The pets being strays is where the issue comes from, but that's not the case :/ It happens to strays and non strays, my cats were not strays, and Kika is STILL in labor

@MochaMousy, there isn't anything at the vet clinic that will help your pets give birth. Sometimes traveling and returning home has helped other people with this, but I'm not sure it they meant that the pets in labor traveled and returned with their Sim, or if just their Sim did the traveling. I assume that I was just the Sim traveling. 🤔
A few weeks ago I had my cat give birth with no problems.
So, do you happen to play with any Mods or Custom Content (CC). 🤔
Is the cat still in labor?

I had the problem with my first stray but with the second start it worked.
