The Sims 4 CC + June 18th 2019 update

The New update has arrived this month! Will I need to remove all custom content in the Sims 4 to use June 18th 2019 update? Will my custom content not be effected by the update?

  • @creativeonna24 It's hard to say ahead of time what cc/mods may be affected by/broken by the new patch (or the other way around). You could remove them for now then check with all creators of your cc afterward to find out if any of them were broken by these patches and if so wait to see if and when they have an updated version that addresses the issues.

  • I regretfully updated mine, and now NONE of my CC show. When I updated, I pulled all CC into a different folder, and then put it back when it was done and it didn't work. So, I deleted ALLLL that CC and downloaded new stuff-which still does not work. I've quadruple checked my settings, made sure they're in the right folder.... idk what else to do. I'm lost and very angry at all this; update was nothing but a bunch of BS and I've read that a lot of people's games are crashing. I haven't had mine on long enough to tell as I only turn it on to see if my CC works, it doesn't, and then turn it off.

@sweeetsarah Can you double-check to see if CC is still enabled in your Game Options in the "Other" tab? Origin might have disabled your mods and CC during patch install. Also, can you verify that you still have a Resource.cfg file in your Mods folder?

Another reason for CC not showing up properly is sometimes right after a patch update the game will start to use a different user folder, ie something like OneDrive. If your game is using a Mods folder on OneDrive then it will not see any CC you have added to your old Mods folder in your Documents folder. Here's a link on how to find out which folder your game is currently using:

Good luck, I hope this helps :D
