The Sims 4 Multiplayer

Hi! I was just wondering if Sims 4 offered a multiplayer. There is an option for "join game" for your friends, but it's grey and doesn't let you click on it. Unlike all the other options that are black and let you click on them. I wanted to know soon because my friend and I wanted to play Sims 4 on Origin together.
