The Sims 4 vs. Legacy

Hi!

I have downloaded the new, Legacy version and my all saved games have disappeared.

I found a topic with "copy the saved games from 'sims 4' folder to the new 'legacy' folder  in Documents, but I do not have this Legacy folder.

can't load the old saved datas (I copied the slot_00000001.save to another place, before I upgraded to legacy).

Sooo how can I load my old saved datas? Can I import them somehow?
Sorry for my bad English, I hope it is understandable.

Thank you for reply!

Legacy is not an upgrade. It is a version made for those that are unable to run the standard version. The Legacy edition is limited in that it can not run new packs and it does not have access to the gallery. Notice that though you chose to download (ignoring the warning) the legacy it does not enable by itself. it only does that if you are unable to run the standard version. Move your saves back to where they were and they will start working again. If you still want to run the Legacy you can manually change to it in the games options in Origin.

    Thank you.

I reinstalled all the game (without Legacy, hehe :D ), I moved "saves" folder to the Sims's folder, but it's still not working. ☹️ It doesn't want to load these saves. ☹️

At least I got the screenshots back.

@Seraahable  When you move a saves folder in, you usually can't get to it by hitting the big play button.  Try using the Load Game button and choose the save you want to load.  After you save and quit, then it will load with the big button.

Yeah, but there is a problem: I have no another buttons. :D

    I'm so unlucky. ☹️

@Seraahable  So, on the Main Menu, you only have a play button?  You should have 3 buttons.  On the upper left side of the screen.  The big one with the arrow, a Load Game button and a New Game button.  If you don't have all three, then something is really amiss.  So repairing the game might be needed.

What platform are you playing on?

Start a new game place a household in the world. You can now exit to the main menu and the load button will be there.

First, thank you guys for trying to help me. :D

Okay, I saved a new game (created new sims, etc), and I have now 'Load' button. This game saved as slot_0000002. in the 'saves' folder.

I moved my original slot_00000001 (what I really want to play, its my previous save what I wrote that moved copied etc etc.) to this 'saves' folder, near the the new, slot_2 file.

I found a button 'Recover save', but there is no way to load the slot_1, although I moved it to the right place.

The makers should edit the game so that you can insert/pull the file into the game. xD

Oh, I play on iMac 2017.

@Seraahable  Did you keep a copy of the entire saves folder that you could swap in?  That seems to work better for me than trying to put a single save file into a new saves folder.

the slot_00000001.sav file is the old autosave which is no longer used. It can not contain your old save. Are you sure you saved the game?
