@thesimssireYou should also delete the 'localthumbcache.package' in The Sims folder in which you find the Mods folder. Usually the bad cc gets stuck in this file too. So when you delete it the game will refresh it automatically.
Nevertheless old cc can cause a lot of problems too. So please, always check if there is an update available after every patchupdate of The Sims.
Have fun playing 😏

@Trismagistos I did that and its still doing the weird invisible preview crap, and I even removed the new stuff I got and its still doing it. At this point I think it might've been the new sims update that they released. I'm just gonna run some batch fixes on S4S to see if that'll help.
- Psychotps6 years agoSeasoned Ace@thesimssire If you removed ALL of your CC and mods and it's STILL doing it, then your game is corrupt.
You'll need to do a game repair in origin and start a new game.- 6 years ago@Psychotps Well yeah when I removed all my mods and CC it stopped doing it but I already knew it would stop because the issue was with the CC in the first place.

@thesimssireOkay, If you remove ALL CC except for ONE, does that CC still appear broken? Does it only do it for that one single CC? If you place every single CC in by itself one at a time, does it do it for all of them?
If so, then something changed that CC. Somehow. Try re-downloading one of the CCs from the original site again.
