ultraultraviolet Sorry, there's not a lot of us volunteer support people in the Mods forum, and I was swamped with work for a couple of days.
Let's start with narrowing your issue down:
1. Can you load other households with your Mods folder in, or is it only this household?
2. With your mods folder removed/renamed and local thumbcache deleted, can you load households in a new save?
hi! sorry for the late reply as well—only found time to try this now.
not sure how i can switch households without being able to go to manage worlds, but after loading another save, i can travel just fine. as for the mods folder, the problem persists with or without it.
ultraultraviolet I'm going to move you into Gameplay Issues, then, in case you want to try to resurrect that save. But do consider also trying this again after these steps:1.
- Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop and rename it.
- Run a Game Repair in the EA App. (If you use Steam, the equivalent is Verify Integrity.)
- Launch Sims 4. Reset your Options and exit.
- Copy your old save file into the new folder and try again.
