Forum Discussion
I shouldn't have to level up. I don't care how many bots caused issued. Lots of programs are available to prevent bots from taking over. EA has the ability to have some one write a program. I feel like I am being punished even though I have been a member of EA since I can't even remember when. I just know that I was playing Club Pogo for a long time before I got interested in Sims 4.
Forcing players/customers to use a point system to voice their opinions/critiquing their products is unprofessional. It is not our job to control the bots. I don't waste my time sitting on Forums to "point up". I come to check out what is going on in the game, other players' ideas or issues. I come to offer some ideas of my own but I am not allowed to post because they consider me a NEW member still! This system is wrong. There may be some people that enjoy clicking or commenting just to do it. I am not one of them. This system offends me as a gamer, as an adult and as a fan of Sims 4!
P.S.- I won't return to see any comments for a long time. I would if they sent out a email or a message saying that I got a response.
I know right and if anything it just makes problems worse. It leads people with general issues with their game that hasn't been brought up in any existing threads just floating forcing them to desperately try and fix the problem on their own instead of posting a thread where someone who already has an answer on the issue can give them advice. It's stupid. There could easily be put fix so there would be less spam, possibly having a timer that has people wait out a certain amount of time before posting again, having the system scan your post where if it finds an already existing post that asks the same question as yours, it sends you to it.There are many ways they could have gone about the issue.

Hi, um I don't know how to post a question and you said that I can ask questions here? (Also sorry for my grammer, english is my third language)
So If you can help that would be great, I have a question about the Sims 4. I would like to buy a new laptop and I don't know if it will be enough for the sims 4 seasons and all the other previous ones like cats and dogs and such. These are the informations of the laptop I'm thinking of buying. I dont have a lot of money so I would like the laptop to be under 400 dollars.
the info:
Processor: AMD A12-9720P 2.7 GHz Processor (Turbo up to 3.3GHz)
RAM: 8 GB DDR4 RAM (Expandable up to 16GB)
Storage: 1TB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Graphics: AMD Radeon R7 Graphics
Display: 15.6-Inch LED-backlit Display with 1366 x 768 resolution
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
Battery Life: 5 hours
Weight: 5.5 lbs
is it enough to run Sims 4 seasons? Or do I need a more expensive one?
- Anonymous8 years agoI have no idea where to go to ask a question on here. I'd like to ask a question rather than simply being part of a discussion and both the sims website and answers ea has made this complicated and I am a new member

There is a Thread where New Members can ask questions on the Sims forum. Look under general mostly near the top
The member system has been introduced to help curb the trolling epidemic we faced. Everyone joining this Forum for the first time start out with 0 Points, it does not matter how long you have been on the Sims forums, you can increase your points to become a Member. Points are seen in the profile, in a grey box on the left side.
You need 50 Points, 30 Posts and have an account older than 24 hours to become a Member.
You can earn points by:
1. Earning badges - here are all the badges you can currently earn http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/badges
2. When someone LIKES or Awesomes your post you get
- 1 Point for Like
Being a new member has certain disadvantages.
1. New members can't post images.
2. New members can't quote normally, they get arrows instead of the box.
3. New members cannot post links.
4. New members can not add signatures.
5. New members can not compose messages, they can, however, reply to them.
6. New members can not have a profile picture. - 8 years ago
Yeah, that's unfortunate. I'm not really a social person so I don't post all that much. I mainly read the forums for bug fixes. Not being able to make my own post or even change my own profile picture honestly makes me NOT want to engage in the forums ironically. And I understand that this was done to keep trolls away but surely there has to be another way?

I can comment at these other replies, but can't when I want to comment on other subjects??

@amalie44, sadly you can only comment on someone else's post until you get enough XP to be come an actual member. So, if nobody has addressed your topic that you want to bring up or ask a question on, you either have to wait until you are a member or ask your question here at the EA Answers HQ. đ But it shouldn't take too long to become a member (there was a glitch when I first started on the Sims4 Forums to where even after hundreds of XP it still wouldn't allow some people to become members đâšī¸đ âĻ then all of a sudden, one day the problem was fixed and a whole slew of us were all made members at the same time! :eahigh_file: So just be happy you don't have to worry about that problem anymore! đ )
