i've updated and repaired my game several times, however i cannot complete ANY tasks for the forever friends event: i have bought every single stuffed animal available and it still is an uncompleted task! i cant progress in the event.

I have done this "Clean Folder" approach and I am still unable to complete the quests. Child plays with Stuffed Animal but never gets credit for it. I have repaired my game. I have tried with and without mods. I can't complete this quest so can't claim rewards :(
Did you even try the new event one, that you can claim just by logging in? It shouldn’t have to be - I did the whole thing with the base game one I think - but if you’ve already repaired the game and tried in a new mod free save, maybe it’s worth a try?
