My Sims Won't Do Anything

Hi, 

I have been having this issue for quite a while now, maybe a little bit after Adventure Awaits came out to put it to date. I cannot get my sims to do ANYTHING in game. 

I reset them completely through debug - they still just stand there.

I let time pass on its own -- they still stand and do nothing with the task in queue.

It would be one thing if they refused to do what I say alone, but my sims have ZERO autonomy on top of that, making playing the game completely impossible. It happens with older save files and with households fresh out of CAS.

I have done everything that has been suggested so far. I removed my mods, I reset my cache, I deleted all the flies off of my sims saved and made a new game file, yet the problem persists. This is especially irritating as I look on these forums and see that this isn't just a me problem, and we continue to get these large game-breaking updates with no solutions to fix whatever it is EA is breaking.
