Unable to play guitar

My sim is a music lover. When i click on a guitar there is no option to play or practice.I can hire a guitarist (?) or put in inventory but can't play. I have other instruments in the house and they ...

Is your sim a child? Or do you have any mods in your game? 🙂
Children can play piano and violin but not guitar (for some reason).

And it needs to be a kids violin.
